Little Curators' BIG Plan

MoCA Kids, the children's art education brand of Suzhou Museum of Contemporary Art, launched "Little Curators' BIG Plan" from January to March 2026. This series is a companion public education program for the exhibition "BIG: MATERIALISM," featuring 12 free workshops designed for children aged 5 to 12.

Inspired by the museum building designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), the program invited children to explore space and materials while engaging in the curatorial process. From recognizing architectural textures to designing lighting, and from planning exhibition halls to creating exhibition models, children took on the role of "little curators". Ultimately, they brought their creative visions to life through their own exhibition, a parallel exhibition of "BIG: MATERIALISM". Aimed at empowering children as both builders of the museum and creators of exhibitions, the initiative celebrated creativity through play within the museum.
